Easy tape mummy that work kids fine motor skills.

Simple Tape Mummies

This easy craft is perfect for toddlers as well as elementary kids! It works their fine motor skills and they get to work with tape!

Supplies

  • Cardboard
  • Masking Tape
  • Black Paint/Marker (optional)
  1. Cut the cardboard into mummy shape. I just free handed.
  2. Put strips of masking tape on mummy.
  3. Draw the eyes on using a permanent marker.

Tips:

You could use paper or card stock instead of cardboard. It may be harder for younger kids since it’ll not as sturdy and may move around more.

For younger kids it’s easier if you rip the masking tape into strips for them. If they’re older and able to rip it on their own it’s great for working their hands and working on estimation by figuring out how long the tape needs to be!

Cute Frankenstein have cutting scissors practice.

Fun Frankenstein Hair Cuts

This adorable Frankenstein can’t see! Do you think your child can help him out?! This scissors activity can be quickly put together and the results are sure to be adorable!

Supplies

  • Green Paper
  • Black Paper
  • Markers to draw face
  • Tape
  • Scissors
This what Frankenstein should look like before his haircut.
  1. Cut the green paper into a square and drew a simple face on it.
  2. Make little bolts to put on.
  3. To make the hair cut black paper a little shorter than the face.
  4. Tape it to the top. By using tape it was easier to cut the hair than if I had glued it down because the boys had more room to hold it up and cut the hair.
  5. Draw lines if you’d like or leave it as is for kids to make their own creations!

The boys each crated their own hair cut. An alternative this would be drawing lines on where you wanted them to cut the hair.
