Easy Ice Cream Recipe

We’ve had an ice cream maker for a while and I love it! There are many different ways to make ice cream but I like this recipe best! I like it because it’s super simple and it’s easy to customize. With no eggs or having to heat anything, common ingredients, and fool proof this recipe is the perfect ice cream recipe for everyone!

Easy Homemade Ice Cream

Servings 1 quart

Equipment

  • Ice Cream Maker

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup Whole Milk
  • 2 Cups Heavy Cream
  • 1-2 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 3/4 Cup Sugar

Instructions
 

  • Whisk all the ingredients till sugar dissolves.
  • Pour it in the ice cream maker for 20-25 min.
  • Pour it into a container to freeze overnight (I pour ours into our Pyrex container)

*If you’d like to add something in after pouring the ice cream base in, wait about 10 min and pour the add-in into the ice cream maker. My favorite thing to add in is Macadamia Nuts! 

As you make your ice cream you can use it as a time to connect with your kids! Some fun questions you can ask them are:

  • If you had an ice cream shop what flavors of ice cream would you sell?
  • What are your favorite toppings and why? Do you like Chocolatey things, crunchy, or nothing at all!
  • When is the best time to eat ice cream? In the summer or winter?
